Paleo Banana Pancakes
This is a perfect post-workout breakfast on a Sunday morning. Super quick and easy to make, just throw all ingredients in a magic bullet, heat on a pan, top with some berries and you're good to go!
As an elimination experiment, I decided to swap out my regular protein powder for collagen peptides for two weeks. I wanted to see if there were any noticeable differences in how I felt, as I've noticed some of the protein powder ingredients were a little questionable (i.e: Maltodextrin. Like, wtf is that?!).
After the two weeks of using collagen peptides, I re-introduced the powder, and sure enough I felt such a difference. The protein powder made me feel much more bloated but less satiated along with the weird aftertaste. I know there are plant-based and natural-based powders out there, but I haven't found one that sits well with me yet. Reccos are encouraged if you know of one! But, for now I'm definitely gonna stick to collagen peptides from Vital Proteins going forward. Keep an eye out for future product review on Vital Protein's collagen and marine collagen peptides.
