Raspberry Coconut Steel Cut Oats

Currently loving this hot breakfast now that it's actually getting cold outside. When I prioritize sleep over eating at home before work, I usually grab some steel cut oats from Aroma Espresso Bar (love that place!) but when I have the time, I love this combo. It's perfect for some pre or post-workout fuel as it has carbs, protein and healthy fats that won't upset your stomach (depending- everyone is different). 

The steel cut oats take the longest to cook - about 20-25 mins depending on your desired consistency. I usually make a batch (4 cups water:1 cup oats) and store in a mason jar in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Microwave about 1 -1:30 mins and you got yourself an on to go breakfast! Explore your topping options here too - I love including almond butter and cinnamon as well!
