Full disclaimer: this recipe is inspired by my new fave Bulk Barn find, organic coconut oil popcorn by Lesser Evil Budda Bowl.  It's super quick & easy to make, so you can experiment with both ingredients based on your particular desired taste. Avocado oil or ghee works perfectly here too.  


Table Salt vs Himalayan Pink Salt

What's the diff? I'm glad you asked. Pink Himalayan salt is often said to be the most beneficial and cleanest salt available on this planet today. But why? Pink salt benefits include improving respiratory problems, balancing pH levels, aiding digestion and inducing better sleep. It also contains over 84 minerals including calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper and iron, annnd c'mon, it just makes your food taste better. 

Fun fact: Himalayan crystal salt comes from salt mines 5,000 feet deep below the Himalayan Mountain Range. The salt from these mines has experienced tremendous pressure over millions of years and is said to be over 99% pure. Take that, Walter White. Pink Himalayan salt’s colour as well as its colour variations are indicative of its mineral content - no blue crystal here, folks. 

With a history dating back to Earth’s creation, Himalayan salt is believed to be composed of dried remnants of the original, primal sea. #FancyAF. Why settle for regular table salt when you can have a healthy serving of primal sea salt, to that I say: yolo.
